Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our rooms division, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Prior experience in hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linens and organise supplies as required
- Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, and polished to meet cleanliness standards
- Restock toiletries, towels, and other amenities as necessary
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or upholstery cleaning when needed
- Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Basic cooking skills are a plus for roles involving meal preparation or service areas
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients or guests
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
