We work with a wide range of Hampshire Local Authority, SEN, Academy, and Independent schools, supporting them with specialist Science Teachers for both short-term cover and long-term assignments. On this occasion, we are seeking an experienced Science teacher for one of our oversubscribed Schools in the outskirts of Portsmouth.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Science lessons (specialism in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics welcome)
- Follow provided lesson plans to maintain high levels of pupil engagement
- Uphold each school's values and ethos
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department to support student learning
- For longer-term roles: plan and mark work, attend departmental meetings, and contribute to wider school life (paid to scale)
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or at least 6 months' recent UK school teaching experience
- Specialism in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics
- ECTs and overseas-trained teachers welcome
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching
- Commitment to fostering curiosity and a love of science
