Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Gateman/Woman to oversee access control at our construction site. This role is vital in maintaining security, ensuring smooth entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, and supporting the overall safety of the site. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and visitors. Duties
- Manage the entry and exit points of the construction site, verifying credentials of workers, visitors, and delivery personnel
- Maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel for security and record-keeping purposes
- Conduct visual inspections of vehicles and personnel to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Communicate clearly with drivers, visitors, and team members using effective English language skills
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to oversee site activity continuously
- Assist in directing traffic flow within the site to prevent congestion and ensure safety
- Respond promptly to any security concerns or incidents, escalating issues as necessary
Skills
- Prior experience in construction or security is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with diverse individuals
- Ability to operate basic security equipment such as CCTV cameras and access control systems
- Valid driving license with clean driving record for vehicle movement within the site
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inspections
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude toward safety protocols
