Social Pantry is looking for a skilled Senior Sous Chef for the daily operation in our Events Production Kitchen and lead event teams across London.

Event Catering Experience is Essential
Kitchen Day-To-Day
· To assist with running the kitchen efficiently and cost effectively with as little wastage as possible.
· To manage and facilitate event and contract food production
· Stock maintenance, stock rotation and stock counts.
· To assist cater for all events and tastings efficiently and effectively
· Represent Social Pantry and lead the team at events across multiple venues and locations.
· Ensure Social Pantry’s product and team culture are upheld to a high-standard.
Ordering & Suppliers
· Assist with ordering of all food and kitchen supplies.
· Continual supplier comparison with all suppliers.
· Quality control of all deliveries and suppliers.
· Maintain supplier relationships with current suppliers.
· Assist with ensuring there is efficient stock control, rotation and monitoring.
· Facilitate a stock take on a monthly basis.
Menus & Food
· Support with seasonal menu writing, development, research, tastings and planning.
· Menu costing menus, and managing food preparation within those costs.
· Maintain a creative and inspirational approach to all food trends.
· Keep recipes seasonal, fresh, exciting and new.
· Stay ahead of current food trends and in the know of what is happening in the London food scene.
· Deliver high-quality food at all times.
Kitchen Management
· Assist with managing staff within the kitchen.
· Assist with recruitment and training of Chefs and Kitchen Porters
· Monitor and manage kitchen and equipment maintenance.
· Ensure Health and safety and Food Safety processes and systems are followed at all times.
Health and safety
· All health and safety, carrying out all temperature, HACCAP, fire and pest controls.
· To have an understanding of and adhere to the Company’s rules and regulations and in particular the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety and licensing regulations.
· To ensure all colleagues work hygienically and productively.
· Ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
· Demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance, always wearing the full and correct uniform and ensuring good personal hygiene.
General
· Take an active interest in Social Pantry market growth and the success of the company.
· Work as part of a team so as to help all of your team whenever possible.
· To ensure that you keep regular checks on the competitor menu and pricing.
