Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, adhering to food safety regulations
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings or special offers
- Handle customer queries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support barista duties if required, including preparing specialised coffee beverages
Skills
- Previous experience in restaurant service or catering is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including serving techniques and food presentation
- Experience in food preparation or barista work is a plus but not mandatory
