We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, ensuring the smooth operation of the front-of-house area, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and a positive attitude. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage their seating arrangements in a courteous manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen team
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Handle cash transactions and process payments using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest queries and resolving any issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety procedures is advantageous
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- A proactive approach to upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
