Live-In Carer – Jersey£160 per Day | Two Weeks On, Two Weeks Off | Paid Return Flights
Aurum Home Care Ltd is recruiting experienced and compassionate Live-In Carers from across the UK to support clients in their own homes in Jersey.
This is a structured rotational position working two weeks in Jersey followed by two weeks off. Return flights from your nearest suitable UK airport will be arranged and paid for.
Pay and benefits
- £160 gross pay per day
- £2,240 gross pay for each 14-day placement
- Additional £9-per-day food allowance
- £126 food allowance for each 14-day placement

About the role
During each placement, you will live in the client’s home and provide safe, respectful and person-centred care.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, dressing and continence needs
- Assisting with mobility and safe movement
- Medication prompting or assistance in accordance with the care plan
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition and hydration
- Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
- Supporting appointments, activities and everyday routines
- Completing accurate electronic care records
- Observing and reporting changes in the client’s health or wellbeing
- Carrying out light household duties connected with the client’s care
- Communicating appropriately with families and healthcare professionals
This is a live-in position, not a continuous 24-hour working shift. Active duties, sleep-in arrangements and overnight expectations will be clearly defined within the client’s care plan and employment documentation.
About you
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have previous experience in home care, live-in care, supported living, care homes or healthcare
- Ideally have level 2 or 3 NVQ in care
- Are compassionate, patient, reliable and respectful
- Can work confidently and responsibly without continuous supervision
- Understand professional boundaries when working in someone’s home
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Are comfortable using electronic care records
- Can commit to completing the full two-week placement
- Can travel reliably from their nearest suitable UK airport
- Have valid identification for travel
- Are willing to complete all required background checks, references and training
Experience supporting people living with dementia, frailty, physical disabilities, mobility difficulties or palliative-care needs would be particularly welcomed.
