Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Light Recovery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting recovered vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Duties
- Operate light recovery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with all road safety regulations
- Safely recover and transport vehicles or equipment from various locations to designated sites or repair facilities
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks prior to each shift
- Assist with loading and securing recovered items using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of all recoveries, deliveries, and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding schedules and operational updates
- Adhere to all health and safety policies during recovery operations and vehicle handling
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or recovery driver
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; appropriate classification for light recovery vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Experience with flatbed lorries or similar recovery vehicles is advantageous
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to operate safely in various weather conditions and terrains
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and recovery procedures
