R A Medical Services Ltd is a SME based in Skipton but covering the whole of the UK to include Northern and Southern Ireland. The company operates in a very niche area of medical equipment.
We strive to be professional and innovative, and our goal is to supply and maintain equipment to the highest standard possible whilst offering up to date guidance based around this specialised area of medical products. The Company currently operates to ISO 13485:2016.
With a local heritage (Keighley area) dating from the 1960's, this SME business is family run (to 3 generations) and has a caring atmosphere relating to all staff members.
Training in this specific equipment type is essential and the successful candidate will have to undertake a robust training programme to ensure he has all the required knowledge to cope with the required level of activity required. Customer sites include; dental surgeries and hospitals, A & E departments and a growing area in aesthetics. A vehicle is available (Fleet) and all required uniform, service and test equipment will be provided..

Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment at customer premises
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support
- Train customers on the proper operation of equipment
- Electronically document all service activities, including repairs, parts used, and customer interactions
Qualifications:
- Clean driving license and some literacy and IT skills required
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role preferred but not obligatory as specific job training will be given
- technical knowledge of machinery and equipment an advantage
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently but in the knowledge that back up support is available.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as engineers are obliged to interact with medical staff
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
