Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and punctual Part-time Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment with a focus on excellent service delivery.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.15am- 11.15am (must be flexible, possible over time)
Delivery routes all around Birmingham area
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to customers within designated areas
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet delivery schedules
- Load and unload items, sometimes involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any queries or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collection of signatures or proof of delivery
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries
Qualifications
- clean driving record
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car or commercial licence)
- Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, maintaining safety standards at all times
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area
