We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. This is a hands-on role that involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading deliveries
- Checking incoming goods against delivery notes
- Storing products safely and accurately
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Conducting stock checks and inventory counts
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if licensed)
- Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Must be local to Sough
- Must have clean driving license
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
