Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Drivers to join our team based in West Thurrock. The role involves transporting ISO tanks carrying both non-hazardous and hazardous liquids across the UK.
This is a Full-time position with the option to occasionally work weekends when available. There may be rare occasions where a night out is required due to unforeseen circumstances, on these occasions we pay a night-out allowance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles equipped for ADR (hazardous goods) transportation, specifically ISO Tank Containers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with legal standards.
- Deliver ISO Tank Containers to designated locations, adhering strictly to schedules and route plans.
- Handle loading and unloading procedures, ensuring secure attachment and detachment of tanks while following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to ADR guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
- Strong understanding of driver hour regulations and the working time directive.
