About A Good Lead
A Good Lead is a local dog-walking business providing reliable, high-quality dog care to our customers.
We’re looking to build a small pool of reliable, experienced self-employed dog walkers to undertake individual dog-walking and pet-care bookings on a subcontracted basis.
This would suit someone who already works independently, has their own clients, or simply wants to build up some additional dog-walking work around their existing commitments.
How it works
We will offer available bookings to our contractor network, including regular weekly walks and one-off/ad hoc bookings.
You are free to accept or decline individual jobs depending on your availability and whether the booking works for you.
There is no minimum number of bookings or guaranteed hours.
You are also free to work for your own customers and other businesses.
We’re looking for people who are:
- Experienced and confident handling dogs
- Reliable and professional
- Comfortable working independently
- Passionate about dog welfare
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
- Responsible and safety-conscious
- Able to arrange appropriate cover if they accept a booking and subsequently become unavailable
Requirements
You must have:
- Your own public liability insurance suitable for dog walking/pet care (approximately £5 per month — we can help you arrange this)
- Your own transport (car or e-bike) to travel to walks
- A current basic DBS check, or willingness to get one
- Experience with dogs
- Your own suitable equipment for carrying out the work safely
- Self-employed status and responsibility for your own tax and National Insurance
Evidence of insurance and DBS will be required before undertaking bookings.
