Job Description
This is a rotational programme for Locally Employed Doctors to have the opportunity to work in a variety of medical specialties over a 12-month period.
We know the importance of supported learning opportunities and are proud of the encouraging environment that our team cultivates – we promise departmental teaching, MDT meetings, grand rounds and journal clubs as well as allocated lunchtime training and study leave. We have an excellent record of doctors progressing on to formal training programmes. We have an active research unit, working in partnership with the University of Portsmouth, and currently have a number of projects developed by our junior colleagues achieving presentation and publication.

Qualifications
Qualifications

Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

Primary medical qualification recognised by the GMC

Evidence of completion of Foundation Level or equivalent 2-year training programme gaining CREST sign off
Experience

Demonstrable skills and minimum of 6 months experience within an appropriate specialty

Previous NHS experience in a paid role required
Clinical Skills

Ability to prioritise clinically urgent tasks
Knowledge

Able to demonstrate appropriate level of clinical knowledge
Other

Evidence of participation in audit, quality improvement or other relevant projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
