Are you a caring, enthusiastic and qualified Early Years professional looking for a nursery where children, families and staff are genuinely valued?
We are looking for a Level 3 Childcare Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team at our single-site day nursery in Wales.
Our nursery is a place where children are encouraged to learn, explore, play and develop at their own pace, supported by nurturing and knowledgeable practitioners who understand that every child is unique.
We place children's care, development and experiences at the centre of everything we do. Just as importantly, we believe that families are respected partners in their child's care and development. We work closely with parents and carers, valuing their knowledge, views and contributions to ensure every child receives consistent, individualised support.
About the role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, learning and experiences for the children in our nursery.
You will:
- Provide warm, responsive and nurturing care that meets each child's individual needs.
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through purposeful play and meaningful experiences.
- Plan and contribute to engaging activities and experiences based on children's interests, development and individual needs.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising them as important contributors to their child's care and development.
- Observe, assess and record children's development and use this information to support their next steps.
- Create an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, listened to and respected.
- Support children's independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, hygiene and careork as part of a professional and supportive nursery team.
- Contribute positively to the day-to-day life and experiences of our nursery.
About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children and who understands that excellent early years practice is about much more than simply meeting children's basic care needs.
You will ideally be:
- Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years, with a qualification recognised as appropriate for the role within the Social Care Wales Qualification Framework.
- Experienced in, or keen to develop your career within, a full-day-care nursery environment.
- Warm, caring, patient and responsive to children's individual needs.
- Passionate about children's learning, development, play and experiences.
- A confident communicator who can develop respectful relationships with families.
- Reliable, responsible and committed to high standards of practice.
- A positive team player who is willing to contribute ideas and support colleagues.
- Committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
- Keen to continue learning and developing professionally.
We particularly value practitioners who see children as capable, curious individuals and who can create experiences that allow children to explore, make choices, develop independence and enjoy their time at nursery.

Our nursery
We are a single-site day nursery, allowing us to build a strong sense of community between children, families and staff.
We believe that consistency and relationships matter. Our aim is to provide children with a secure, nurturing environment where they can develop meaningful relationships, build confidence and enjoy rich and varied experiences throughout their time with us.
