Job Summary
We are hiring a reliable, self-motivated full-time Cleaning Operative with at least 1 year of experience in the cleaning sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, ensuring that all areas are clean and presentable. A successful candidate will work closely with the Site Supervisor and Line Manager with minimal supervision on their own initiative. The shift runs from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute break. The candidate must successfully pass a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) background check and hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. Own transport is essential because of the site location and limited public transport services. Requires the ability to speak and read English to an understandable level for safety purposes and work involved. The hourly rate for the position is £13.13.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in designated areas, including reception areas, boardroom, corridors, toilets, kitchens, offices and workshop areas.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members to understand the cleaning requirements.
- There will be overtime cleaning duties as and when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Follow cleaning instructions and procedures to ensure consistent quality of work.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times during cleaning activities.
