FireCheck Contracts is looking for an experienced Gas Suppression Fitter to join our specialist installation team. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality fire suppression systems that protect critical environments such as data centres, telecoms facilities, server rooms and commercial buildings.
This is a hands-on, technical role where your expertise really matters. You'll work on varied installation projects, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure every system is installed safely, accurately and to industry standards. What you will be doing
You'll be responsible for the mechanical installation and commissioning of fixed gaseous fire suppression systems across multiple sites. A typical week will include:

Installing gas suppression systems in line with project specifications and engineering drawings

Carrying out pipework, cylinder positioning and nozzle installation

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation plans

Conducting pressure testing and completing installation documentation

Ensuring compliance with fire industry regulations and health & safety legislation

Liaising professionally with clients, site managers and project teams

Maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles to a safe, serviceable standard

Some projects may require occasional overnight stays depending on site location and project timelines.
Who we are looking for
We're looking for a skilled, reliable and proactive engineer with solid experience in gas suppression installation. You'll be confident working from technical drawings, comfortable on busy sites, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
