Yard Labourer / FLT Driver

Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour | Saturday: £19.36 | Sunday: £25.82
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Labourer / Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy recycling operation in Cramlington.
You will be working within a busy yard environment, helping to manage recyclable waste, ensure materials are correctly separated, and support the loading and unloading of vehicles.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working outdoors and operating a forklift as part of their daily duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Sort and separate recycling waste into the correct bins and designated areas.
- Load and unload vehicles safely.
- Move materials around the yard using the FLT.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Carry out general yard and labouring duties as required.
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Report any hazards, defects, or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a busy recycling environment.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate.
- Previous FLT operating experience.
- Experience in a yard, recycling, waste, warehouse, or industrial environment is advantageous.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
