Garage Receptionist / Service Advisor – Full-Time or Part-Time – Southampton
We are looking for a friendly, organised and confident Garage Receptionist / Service Advisor to join our busy automotive team in Southampton.
We can offer full-time, part-time or shorter daytime hours, making this role suitable for someone looking for flexibility around school hours, family commitments or other responsibilities.

Main Duties
- Welcome customers and manage the reception area
- Answer incoming telephone calls and customer enquiries
- Book vehicles in for MOTs, servicing, diagnostics and repairs
- Organise the workshop diary and daily bookings
- Keep customers updated on vehicle progress
- Prepare quotations and explain recommended work
- Liaise with technicians and workshop staff
- Create and update job cards
- Prepare invoices and take payments
- Follow up quotations and customer enquiries
- Help convert enquiries into bookings
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
What We Are Looking For
- Friendly, confident and professional manner
- Good telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- Strong organisation and administration skills
- Comfortable using computers
- Able to work in a busy environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous reception or customer service experience preferred
- Garage or automotive experience would be an advantage but is not essential
- Training can be provided
