We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our Manufacturing Centre, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production operations while supporting continued growth and operational excellence.
Job Overview
As Production Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery programmes are achieved safely and efficiently. You will lead and develop the production team, oversee resource planning, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Project Delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Duties
- Manage all manufacturing and assembly activities within the Manufacturing Centre.
- Develop and implement production plans to achieve delivery schedules and business objectives.
- Lead, motivate and develop production personnel, creating a high-performance culture.
- Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures and legislation.
- Monitor production performance, productivity, quality, and costs, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Manage labour, materials, equipment and subcontract resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and profitability.
- Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Support audits and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.
- Prepare and present production reports, KPIs and operational updates to senior management.
- Contribute to strategic planning for manufacturing growth, investment and capability development.
- Effective communication skills for liaising across departments and with external stakeholders

Pay: £43,500.00-£50,000.00 per year
