Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 11+ Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students across various subjects. The successful candidate will assist learners in understanding complex concepts, improving their skills, and building confidence in the lead-up to the all important grammar and private school exams. Responsibilities
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style alongside implementing pre-written lesson plans
- Assist students in grasping subject matter across a range of disciplines, including special education requirements if applicable
- Develop/follow engaging lesson plans and educational materials to facilitate effective learning
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement
- Maintain organised records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and progress reports
Requirements
- Must have proven experience teaching 11+ or a grammar/private school background
- Must have completed GCSE and A-level education in UK
- Must have a minimum gf Grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths
- Must live within a 30 minute radius to the Tuition centre and be able to deliver in-person sessions (548 Ley St, IG2 7DB)
- Must be able to commit until 31st August 2027 to any roles taken
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Passion for education, progress and a commitment to fostering student success is essential
