Day to day control and coordination of manufacturing processes.
7am - 3:30pm working hours.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To lead, manage, motivate and organise a TEAM on a warehouse area to ensure:

Food safe product is picked and despatched, meeting the customers quality standards

Daily pick and despatch targets are achieved (expected quantity, speed)

The working environment is clean and safe
-
Represent your team during Visits and Audits
-
Ensure all daily jobs are completed on time and in safe manner.
Health and Safety
-
Everybody is responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others.
-
Ensure your work environment is kept safe, clean and tidy
-
Ensure the equipment is correctly used and returned in good condition
-
Ensure all staff using equipment are trained and signed off against the standard operation procedures
-
Ensure all staff are wearing the right PPE (eg safety boots and despatch jackets)
-
Raise any health and safety concerns to your Shift Manager as soon as possible
-
Ensure that Start-up Check sheets are filled in on daily basis and all issues reported to engineering or IT (eg: pav issues needs to be reported to IT)

Ensure that all accidents are properly reported and investigated
-
Ensure all procedure are followed when loading and unloading of vehicles.
-
Ensure all equipment transfer are done in a safely manner.
Team Management
Ensure that your TEAM is fully productive whilst adhering to food hygiene and Health & Safety laws and regulations

Organise/develop your team to work collaboratively and achieve the Pick and despatch targets

Encourage and maintain team effort and a supportive attitude ( team spirit and work discipline)

Ensure that routine personal issues are dealt with promptly and company procedures followed and adhered to with issues being dealt with fairly and consistently

Give your team direction – explaining what is required and check they understand your instruction. (eg: quality, speed, pick accuracy , Good Manufacturing Practices – GMP …...)

Coach/train and assess your staff

Provide knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice to your team

Ensure your team fully understand and comply with Company procedures and rules

Confirm actual team size and agency numbers to Shift Manager at start up
-
Update your team with Company news, visit information and new procedures and products
-
Manage your team holidays to maintain a sufficient level of skills/knowledge/performance
Quality
-
Ensure that quality procedures are followed at all times to ensure that the customer receives the quality they expect.

Ensure all temperature paper work are filled in correctly and product temperature is kept within product specification and any issues are raised to QA and shift manager

Ensure all loading schedules are followed at all the time any issues to be reported to shift manager

Inspecting vehicles to make sure they are in acceptable condition to out load finished product on
-
Ensure a current Promo Calendar are being used

If poor quality packaging are found – raise immediately to your Shift Manager
-
Ensure quality, promotional activity and correct date code checks are completed and recorded as per the procedures

Ensure all despatch paper work are checked and up to date
- Ensure product hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained
- Communicate with transport about vehicle requirement and vehicle times

Order picking of finished product in a chilled area ready for despatching
- Ensure all pallet configuration instructions are followed
- Scanning in and out finish product of the despatch chill using hand scan gun and portal

Ensure all despatch notes are correct and up to date
- This role has responsibility for food safety, product quality and brand integrity
