Apollo Care Southport is looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated, and hands on Female Registered Manager to lead our high-quality domiciliary care service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader who is committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care while ensuring full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, leading and supporting the team to provide safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care that enables people to remain independent in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with and maintain registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Lead the overall management and development of the domiciliary care service.
- Ensure the service consistently meets all CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant legislation.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and prepare for CQC inspections.
- Recruit, supervise, develop and retain a high-performing team.
- Manage staffing levels and oversee safe recruitment practices.
- Complete staff supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments.
- Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, independence and person-centred care.
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and care records remain accurate and compliant.
- Monitor incidents, accidents, complaints, compliments and safeguarding concerns.
- Build strong relationships with clients, families, local authorities, NHS professionals and other stakeholders.
- Monitor quality assurance systems, audits and governance processes.
- Contribute to the commercial growth of the service.
- Ensure safe medication management and infection prevention procedures are followed.
- Participate and manage the on-call management rota as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within domiciliary care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Thorough understanding of CQC regulations and inspection framework.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience managing care staff and coordinating community care services.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, GDPR and health and safety legislation.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience managing an electronic care planning system.
- Experience working with local authority and NHS contracts.
- Business development experience.
- Experience improving CQC ratings and leading successful inspections.
