Job Summary
Omori UK Ltd are leading suppliers of high-quality packaging, processing and weighing & inspection machines to the food, pet food and pharmaceutical industries throughout the UK and Ireland. We are looking to add to our engineering team, and a position has opened for an experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE), or an experienced Engineer ready for the next step in their career development.
Job Role
- To install, commission, service and repair a wide range of both Food and Pharmaceutical processing and packaging machinery.
- This is a mobile role, and travel will be required on a day-to-day basis.
- When not travelling the FSE will be required to assist workshop-based engineers to meet deadlines on new and rebuilt equipment prior to installation. Plus, an element of guarding, repair and fault finding.
- All work is carried out to meet all EU legislation with respect to CE marking.
- The Engineer will work closely with both the Sales and Project departments.
- The FSE will be part of a six-man team, one of which is based at the Bromborough workshop.
- Must be able to commute to premises in Bromborough, Merseyside.
Key requirements & skills Knowledge, skills and Experience
- A qualified service engineer minimum of ONC with mechanical experience is desirable.
- Previous experience of working within the Food/Pharmaceutical sector would be advantageous.
- History of control and instrumentation involvement with knowledge, and understanding, on both HMI's and PLCs.
- Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, the Engineer must be able to work as a team member but be equally proficient working without supervision and to apply initiative as necessary.
- Good communication skills are essential to deal with customer enquiries relating to both engineering and possible future sales.
- A full UK driving license is essential as is availability to visit customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional trips to Europe.
Training
Training will be offered on all applicable machinery during the initial period of employment.
Package
- Basic salary £43,000 - £50,000 pa depending on experience, plus overtime.
- Contractual Annual Bonus, equivalent to one month’s salary, paid in December each year (Pro-rated)
