Summary of Role
The role advertised is to ensure that any potential risks and issues are identified and managed responsibly, through utilisation of third parties as and when required, and monthly internal checks and audits. Provence House - and Lavender Fields, generally -are the culmination of more than a decade of planning and preparation, and so great importance is stowed on everything looking and running as immaculately as possible.
Main Responsibilities
- Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently, and adhere to health and safety guidelines;
- Ability to deal with other contractors or maintenance workers;
- Being resourceful and self-motivated;
- Being physically strong is preferable – capable of working with machinery or moving heavy equipment, etc, as long as it is deemed safe to do so;
- Being flexible;
- Able to work as part of a team;
- Good communication skills.
- Completing and keeping up to date with any relevant training, also policies and procedures.

Personal Characteristics - Requirements:
- Passionate about making a difference in the life of those we look after;
- Dedicated to providing excellent customer service;
- Ability to work independently, but know when to seek guidance or external input;
- Clear written and verbal communication style;
- Basic IT skills and numerical ability;
- To be willing to undertake required training, sometimes outside normal working hours;
- At least two years’ experience of being either a handyman or other profession with transferable skills, and preferably within another care setting.
