Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at Paper Moon Nurseries in Forest Town. This vital role involves supporting the management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare and early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will play a key part in maintaining our standards of excellence and fostering a positive environment for children, parents, and staff. The role may have an opportunity to cover the manager for MAT leave.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations of the nursery.
- Support staff development and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to planning and implementing educational activities for children.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
- Promote a positive team environment aligned with our values of trust and reliability.
- Qualifications
- Level 3 childcare qualification
- Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working directly with children is essential.
- Driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are highly desirable.
