Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 3.5 tonne multi-drop driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring timely and professional service. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent driving skills.
Duties
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements
- Safely operate a 3.5 tonne lorry for multiple deliveries across designated areas
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery from customers and complete relevant documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout the shift
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery updates or issues encountered during routes
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar flatbed lorries
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid UK driving licence suitable for 3.5 tonne vehicles
- Experience in multi-drop deliveries, demonstrating organisational ability to manage multiple stops efficiently
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and delivery procedures
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods safely
