Envirowise Cleaning is looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Cleaning Manager / Working Supervisor to join our growing team.
This is an employed role with a mixture of management/supervisory duties and hands-on cleaning work. Management hours will usually be between 5–15 hours per week, depending on business needs.
Cleaning hours are flexible and can be built around your availability. We would ideally like someone who can commit to a minimum of around 10 cleaning hours per week, but there is the opportunity to take on as many additional cleaning hours as you would like, subject to business demand. For the right person, this could become a full-time role, with combined management and cleaning hours potentially reaching around 40 hours per week or more.
You will be able to discuss and agree your working schedule with us. Weekend work is not required, but optional weekend cleaning hours may be available if you would like them.
The role is based around Staines and surrounding areas, but you must be willing to travel up to approximately 45 minutes from Staines when required. You must drive and have access to your own vehicle. Travel time is paid at National Minimum Wage and mileage is reimbursed.
Main responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting cleaning staff
- Organising and checking cleaning work
- Carrying out quality control checks
- Training and coaching new cleaners
- Covering cleaning shifts when needed
- Carrying out cleaning work to a high standard
- Communicating professionally with staff and customers
- Reporting any issues, complaints, stock needs or customer requests
- Helping arrange cover for jobs where required
- Ensuring cleaners arrive on time and complete work correctly
- Supporting regular cleans, deep cleans and one-off cleaning jobs
- Helping maintain Envirowise Cleaning’s standards across all sites
- Taking photos, notes and updates where required
- Leading by example and supporting the team in a positive way
The successful candidate must have previous cleaning experience, a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. You must also be willing to travel up to approximately 45 minutes from Staines for work.
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, good timekeeping and the confidence to manage people professionally. You should be able to give clear instructions, support new cleaners, complete quality checks and report any issues clearly.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in high standards, is happy to lead by example, and is willing to get stuck in with cleaning as well as management duties.
Essential requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience

Pay and benefits:
- £20 per hour for management/supervisory duties
- £15 per hour for cleaning duties
- Management hours usually between 5–15 hours per week
- Minimum of around 10 cleaning hours per week preferred
- Additional cleaning hours available depending on availability and business demand
