The Role
As a Warehouse Operative you will be a competent Forklift Driver, allowing you to manoeuvre around the warehouse picking orders for customers as well as restocking shelves. You will carry out all necessary checks and paperwork required to support the warehouse team, carrying out stock checks and keeping the warehouse generally well maintained and hazard free.
Main Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders correctly and safely
- Assist with stock control tasks to ensure stocks are always kept at sufficient levels
- Loading customer orders on to van on the date to be delivered
- Ensure incoming goods are handled and checked off, as necessary
- Support with stock checks as necessary
- Ensure warehouse and yard areas are always kept clean and tidy
- Assist with ad-hoc van deliveries as may be necessary
- Support with routing vehicles when Warehouse Manager is on holiday
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Counterbalance Forklift Ticket and Experience
- Prior experience working in a fast paced warehouse setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures is a plus.
