Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalised care. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients, fostering a positive environment
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering strictly to protocols
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support with light domestic tasks within care settings or clients’ homes to promote a safe and clean environment
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as required, ensuring their safety at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to show empathy and patience in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £12.71 per hour
