The post will help cover gaps in the service due to loss of DCC from the existing consultant workforce and to maintain cold reporting capacity, support provision of acute services and the regional tertiary level GIHPB cancer MDTs. It is highly desirable for prospective applicants to have a sub-specialty interest in HPB radiology.

The department contains one of three national radiology training academies with associated educational facilities and resources for the Leeds Bradford Radiology training scheme. The department partakes in NIHR funded research and has been successful in obtaining funding for developing and establishing an academic programme focusing on oncology radiology.
The successful applicant should possess FRCR (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
