We work with insurers, loss adjusters, commercial clients and private homeowners, delivering work to exceptionally high standards.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced, highly skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can consistently produce high-quality finishes across all aspects of painting and decorating.
The successful applicant must be confident working independently, solving problems on site and maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all surfaces correctly before decorating.
- Carry out high-quality painting to walls, ceilings and woodwork.
- Complete all aspects of internal and external decorating.
- Carry out repairs to damaged walls and ceilings, including filling, patch repairs and making surfaces ready for decoration.
- Complete wallpapering to a high standard, including lining paper, feature wallpapers and full room installations.
- Achieve excellent cutting-in and finishing throughout.
- Protect clients' properties and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Communicate professionally with clients, site managers and other trades.
- Follow all health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional Painter & Decorator.
- Excellent knowledge of preparation, repairs and decorating techniques.
- High standard of painting on walls, ceilings and woodwork.
- Experienced in all types of wall repairs prior to decoration.
- Confident wallpaper hanger with a high-quality finish.
- Able to work from schedules of work and complete jobs without supervision.
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in workmanship.
- Strong attention to detail.
You Must Have
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Your own van.
- Your own painting and decorating tools.
- Be self-employed.
- Be CIS registered.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience within insurance reinstatement works.
- Experience working in occupied residential properties.
- Basic plaster repair knowledge.
