This role is to work within our nationally recognised Real Estate Energy and Natural Resources team who have an impressive client base across the globe, ranging from entrepreneurial new entrants and joint ventures to established independents, vertically integrated utilities, financial institutions, governments and world-wide energy giants.

What is the role?
This is a property role with a marine and energy focus – that may mean working on leases and asset management transactions for landowners of marine property such as rivers and coastal foreshore or for an energy company on wind, solar, battery storage or hydrogen projects, office relocations or operations and maintenance facilities. You'll be an integral part of our team, supporting national and international clients on a wide range of property work from development projects, acquisitions and disposals to landlord and tenant, asset management and portfolio management instructions for national and international energy clients. As the team act on all real estate elements of major energy infrastructure developments, you'll be involved in project development work for new generation projects in relation to both renewable energy transactions and mainstream power and pipeline projects.

What does the ideal candidate look like?
We're keen to see applications from candidates with a law degree, or at least 2 year's experience working in a paralegal role. We would welcome marine or energy experience, but what's most important is that you have a genuine enthusiasm for developing your knowledge and expertise.
You'll be a paralegal who is excited at the prospect of working in a busy and supportive environment. Excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base is important for this role. Business development is important for all of our lawyers, and you will be able to contribute to the growth of the team by assisting with the organisation of client events, writing articles for our website and other marketing activities.
To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:
- To have completed your law degree or other legal qualification,
- OR, if you don't have a law degree, have a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar.
