Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests promptly with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, adhering to food safety standards.
- Keep track of inventory and restock as needed.
- Check identification to ensure customers meet age requirements for alcohol consumption.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all guests receive prompt attention throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively, enhancing the overall dining experience.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
