Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental team. Joining our growing and thriving dental team where your input will be used to further develop patient care. You will be involved in providing treatment co-ordination and support your patient throughout their dental treatment journey.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise dental instruments to ensure a hygienic environment for every patient
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering reassurance throughout treatment
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient correspondence, and maintaining stock levels of dental supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols at all times
- Communicate clearly with patients in English to provide instructions for post-treatment care and address any concerns effectively
Requirements
- Valid qualification as a Dental Nurse from an accredited program or institution
- Proven experience in a dental nursing role with excellent patient care skills
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Exceptional organizational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of nursing principles applied within dental practice settings
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
