Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to join our new team at " Coffee with New Hope". Due to the nature of this role within a Christian organisation there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian. You will have a strong commitment to the vision and mission of New Hope Community Church and be able to share the hope you have in Jesus in a meaningful way that could encourage others (1 Peter 3:15)
You will oversee daily operations within our bustling coffee shop establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the leadership skills you provide will directly shape the experience of everyone who visits "Coffee with New Hope". This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and delivering an outstanding experience for our customers.
This role at times requires flexable working and deputising for the Coffee shop manager when they are on leave or on their non-working days.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily activities of the coffee shop team, ensuring smooth operation during shifts.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies at all times.
- Assist in training new staff members on service procedures, food production, and safety protocols.
- Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing customer queries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory efficiently.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the premises, including kitchen areas and customer zones.
- Collaborate with management on promotional activities and menu updates to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
- Experience in team management, leadership roles, or supervisory positions in cafés or restaurants.
- Knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality best practices.
- Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Pay: £14.20 per hour
