Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team at The Bricklayers Arms in Bromley.
The Bricklayers Arms is a warm and welcoming traditional high street pub, bringing together great drinks, live sports, darts and the food we love from Marlowe’s Burgers. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a confident and reliable Bar Supervisor to help lead our bar team and ensure our guests receive a consistently great experience.
You must be over 18 and available to work evenings and weekends to be considered for this role. Previous experience in a supervisory or senior bar position is preferred.
Duties
- Lead and support the bar team during service, ensuring the pub runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure the bar is clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for service at all times.
- Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of customer service throughout the shift.
- Welcome guests warmly, take orders and provide recommendations where appropriate.
- Delegate tasks to team members and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities during service.
- Support the training and development of new and existing members of the bar team.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate any requirements to management.
- Help manage busy periods, including live sporting events and other high-volume services.
- Ensure company procedures relating to food safety, allergens, licensing, cleanliness and health & safety are followed.
- Deal confidently and professionally with any customer queries or issues that arise during service.
- Lead by example, maintaining a positive attitude and helping to create a great atmosphere for both guests and the team.
- Most importantly, treat every guest to a warm welcome, great service and a smile!
