Summary
We are seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to join our dynamic team at ESG Drysdale. In this role, you will oversee the dispatch operations, ensuring efficient logistics and timely delivery of our products. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining our commitment to quality and service excellence.
The role
- 4 on - 4 off working schedule, therefore full flexibility on days is required
- 06:00-18:00 shift - can finish earlier at non-peak times
- 21.5 days holiday per year
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Coordinate logistics activities including shipping and receiving processes.
- Manage transportation management systems to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Train and support dispatch staff in best practices for efficiency and safety.
- Analyze data related to dispatch operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners regarding logistics needs.
- Help the department by any means such as helping build pallets or loading a lorry using a counterbalance forklift
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics or dispatch supervision will be seen as preferred but not essential as full training is provided.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze operational data to drive improvements.
- Experience using a counterbalance forklift, on site training and refreshers will be provided.
