A new opportunity has now presented itself based at our Shrewsbury Dealership for a Vehicle Sales Administrator. The successful candidate will be looking for a new challenge to embark a long-term career move with our company. You will be welcomed into a very friendly team. This role is ideal for someone with administrative experience (minimum of one year preferred) who is keen to develop within a supportive environment. A full training programme will be provided to ensure you are confident, capable, and able to meet the high standards expected across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
The Vehicle Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of vehicle sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of administrative tasks accurately and within required timescales including:
- Process all administration relating to new and used vehicle sales from order through to delivery.
- Upload and maintain accurate vehicle listings on the company website and other sales platforms.
- Ensure purchased vehicles are entered onto the dealership stock system promptly and accurately.
- Arrange and process dealer transfers, vehicle movements, and location changes.
- Prepare and process vehicle invoicing and taxation documentation.
- Liaise closely with Sales Executives, Sales Managers, and other departments to support the vehicle sales process.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Answer and manage the dealership telephones, directing calls efficiently to the appropriate department or individual.
- Assist with stock control, vehicle status updates, and reporting requirements as required.
- Support the wider administration team with additional duties to ensure the smooth operation of the dealership.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and administrative support.
Skills required:
- Previous administrative experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to ask questions when unsure
- Confident communicator with excellent telephone and face‑to‑face skills
- Strong team player with a positive, “can‑do” attitude
- Passionate about delivering high standards of customer service
- Eagerness to learn, develop, and progress within the role
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
