Main Purpose of Job
As a Public Area cleaner your main responsibilities are to service all public areas and bathrooms, including the spa and gym to a high standard of cleanliness and to carry out all duties using methods as specified by the head housekeeper. This is a part time role, the shift time is 8am until 12pm daily.
Main Responsibilities
- To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
- To comply with statutory & company regulations relating to health and safety, hygiene, conduct, fire procedures and security.
- To be responsible for the safe custody of the keys whilst in your possession, ensuring that they remain on your person for the shift and sign them back in at the end of each day.
- To ensure that all equipment and products are used effectively and economically as per manufacturer’s instructions, as laid down in the cleaning schedule.
- To ensure any property found in the Public Areas is brought to the housekeeper and entered into the lost property log in the housekeeper’s office, stating where it was found, when and by whom.
- Empty bins on corridors if needed.
- To keep all service areas clean and tidy.
- To keep all equipment, hoovers and buckets clean and tidy.
- Be aware of energy conservation by turning down radiators and switching off lights.
- Any other job that is required to be done within reason as asked by your Head of Department or the Duty manager.
