Role overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join the University of Sunderland in London as a Visitor Services Associate.
This role provides a key front-of-house presence, acting as the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, delivering a responsive, professional and welcoming service.
The successful candidate will bring excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities and the confidence to manage a busy reception environment, ensuring a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a professional and welcoming front-of-house service to all visitors
Provide accurate information and resolve queries or escalate where needed
Manage reception operations, including visitor flow and maintaining a professional environment
Support building access and security processes
Maintain accurate records and update systems in a timely manner
Support key student activities and work collaboratively with internal teams
Essential Requirements
Experience in a customer-facing environment delivering high-quality service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing demands in a busy environment
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and systems use
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and reliability
Desirable
Experience in a higher education or similar environment
Experience supporting events or student-focused activities
