Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am–2:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am–1:00pm
The role of Machine Operator:
- Operation and set-up of simple parts on machines as assigned by the department supervisor
- Inspect products both visually and dimensionally as they are produced on assigned machines for conformity to specifications
- Locate, move, load, and feed new material for machines as required
- Keep mechanical portions of machine lubricated per maintenance specifications
- Housekeeping of work area, ensuring health and safety regulations are always adhered to
- Verify work order and product drawing for each production job assigned and check raw material
- Perform all operational maintenance on assigned machines in accordance with maintenance procedures
The ideal Machine Operator:
- Previous experience in manual turning, milling, lathe work, and grinding
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable and flexible approach to work with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Experience of working in a similar production role
- Able to comply with all company policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations
