Enlan Ltd is a Property Maintenance, Gardening and Cleaning company established in 2003 with a head office in Swindon.
In our cleaning department a vacancy has arisen for a cleaner working 4 or 5 days (weekdays only). The successful candidate will be working mainly at Swansea Marina (3 or 4 days a week) and 1 day of the week in the centre of Swansea. This role is initially fixed-term 6-Month Contract, but may become permanent if sufficient work is available thereafter. There may also be times when additional weekdays are available, but this is subject to workload and of course the succesful candidates' availability.
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across the two sites we have responsibility for. You will report to the Cleaning Manager, We are looking for a person with core skills in cleaning services, to ensure that all areas are spotless and well-maintained as we work to a very high standard within the cleaning department, you will need to have a good eye for detail.
This role requires a driving license as the successful candidate will be operating across two sites.
This role is part-time, on four or five weekdays - 5 hours a day (930am to 230pm).
The role is interesting and varied and includes working in communal areas (e.g. stairwells in blocks of flats).
Candidates should bear in mind the blocks we clean have multiple storeys and this can be physically demanding. Candidates should be motivated and reliable. Whilst the cleaners work in pairs, there may be times when the cleaner will need to work alone and therefore they should be able to work on their own initiative.
Health & Safety Training will be provided via our online portal and is mandatory.
This role includes the following tasks:
1) Cleaning internal communal areas of residential blocks of flats on two sites in Swansea. The main site is in Swansea Marina, with one day visiting another central Swansea site.
2) Tidying up bin stores on both sites when attending to the associated block.
3) Remove and dispose of manageable larger items from communal areas and bin stores that shouldn't be there, for example domestic flytipped items (disposal to a wheelie bin). Unmanageable items are not removed but are reported back to the Cleaning Manager to arrange disposal.
4) Report faults back to the Cleaning Manager in a timely fashion (e.g. Trade buttons not working on main door of blocks, faulty stairwell lights etc).
5) Replace communal lightbulbs when necessary
6) Periodic Testing and completion of testing sheets for sending to the Cleaning Manager (e.g. Emergency Light Testing)
7) Communication of all issues to Cleaning Manager via Whatsapp or Phone. Including providing photo evidence of issues.
8) Adherence to all Health & Safety guidelines and legislation.
9) Reporting all Health & Safety issues immediately to the Cleaning Manager.
10) Being conscientious and professional when dealing with site Residents.
DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL for this role as the role is based across two sites in Swansea.
Normal Hours are 930am to 230pm four or five days to suit (must be weekdays).
