Summary
We are seeking a passionate Nursery Chef to join our team at Acorns Nurseries Limited in. In this role, you will prepare nutritious meals for young children, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Your contribution will help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that supports our mission of fostering exploration and adventure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy and appealing meals tailored to young children's dietary needs.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with nursery staff to plan menus that promote balanced nutrition.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Support a positive dining environment for children during meal times.
- Follow all health regulations and company policies related to food handling.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or culinary roles, preferably within a childcare or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being.
- Preferred: previous experience in nursery or early childhood settings.
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal planning.
