Role Overview
We're looking for a Lead Install Operative to take full ownership of our overnight installations across sites nationwide. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on managing people, solving problems on the ground, and delivering projects to a consistently high standard. You'll lead both employed and agency install operatives, ensure every site reflects StrongPoint's reputation for quality and professionalism, and be the driving force behind smooth, well-coordinated installations from start to finish.
The role covers a minimum of 37.5 hours per week across 5 shifts out of 7, including Sundays, with frequent nationwide travel and overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the delivery of each installation, managing both employed and agency operatives
- Maintain clear, effective communication with store managers, duty managers, store staff, and installation colleagues
- Guarantee consistent installation quality across all sites, with accurate capture of equipment volumes, materials, and other data on sign-off reports
- Conduct quality checks during and after installations to verify standards are met
- Plan and coordinate overnight installations, managing tools, equipment, and manpower to optimise delivery
- Inspire and motivate the installation team, addressing challenges proactively and providing on-the-job training and support
- Identify opportunities to improve installation processes, workflow, and team performance
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience leading installation teams, ideally in overnight or shift-based work
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to motivate and manage a diverse team, ensuring professionalism onsite
- A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and accurate data reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including Sundays, and to travel extensively across the UK
