We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Assist with organising delivery schedules and communicating any delays or issues to the management team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally with commercial driving background.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries throughout the day.
- Physical fitness to load, unload, and secure cargo as required.
