Small Accountancy Practice – Summertown, Oxford
We are a friendly, well‑established accountancy firm with a team of 10, and we are looking for a reliable and professional Reception & Administrative Assistant to join us on a part‑time basis.
About the role
This is a front‑of‑house position involving a mix of reception duties and general administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for clients, so a confident and professional manner is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Answering incoming calls and directing queries to the appropriate team member
- Typing and sending emails on behalf of staff (audio typing skills useful but not essential)
- Monitoring the shared inbox and distributing messages appropriately
- General administrative tasks such as scanning, updating records, Companies House compliance filing, typing and franking mail, monitoring stationery and other supplies
- Greeting clients and managing front‑desk activity
Hours
- 2–3 days per week
- Wednesdays and Fridays are fixed
- Additional hours may be available depending on workload
- Standard hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm, but we can offer some flexibility on start/finish times
About you
- Professional, friendly, and confident on the telephone
- Strong written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable using email, basic IT systems, and office equipment
- Reliable and able to work independently once trained
