Shift Pattern: 8:00am – 5:00pm, every other weekend
Salary: £13.00 per hour plus bonus
Rosevilla Care Home is seeking a warm, creative and organised Activities Coordinator to join our team. This role supports the Activities & Wellbeing Lead in delivering a high‑quality programme that promotes residents’ wellbeing, independence and enjoyment of daily life.
About the Role
Working under the direction of the Activities & Wellbeing Lead, the Activities Coordinator will help design and deliver a varied timetable of meaningful activities that reflect residents’ interests, abilities and personal histories. This includes group sessions, one‑to‑one engagement, themed events, and community outings. You will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure activities are person‑centred and aligned with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Activities & Wellbeing Lead in planning and delivering daily, weekly and monthly activity programmes.
- Provide one‑to‑one engagement for residents who may be living with dementia, frailty or low mood.
- Assist with organising events, celebrations and community outings.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and external entertainers/volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and wellbeing outcomes.
- Contribute to life story work and personalised activity plans.
- Promote dignity, choice and independence at all times.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with policies and procedures.
About You
Essential:
- Kind, patient and person‑centred approach.
- Confident engaging individuals and groups.
- Creative, organised and able to plan ahead.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and follow direction from the Activities & Wellbeing Lead.
Desirable:
- Experience in a care‑home or social‑care setting.
- Understanding of dementia‑friendly engagement.
- Ability to produce posters, newsletters and activity materials.
- Driving licence for community outings.
