Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Project Delivery & Execution Executive to lead and oversee complex projects across our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives, aligning project objectives with organisational goals. This role requires exceptional leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in project management methodologies, data analysis, and stakeholder communication, with a proven track record of supervising teams and delivering results within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Duties
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee project planning activities including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource allocation, and scheduling using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Project Server.
- Manage project teams by providing clear direction, supervision, and support to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify project risks or issues and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Utilise project management software such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Workday, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or Basecamp to monitor progress and facilitate collaboration.
- Apply various project management methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, or Agile frameworks to optimise delivery processes.
- Analyse project data using SAS or other data analysis tools to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive presentations for stakeholders using Visio or similar tools to communicate progress and strategic insights effectively.
- Manage requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to ensure clarity of objectives and deliverables.
- Control project costs through effective budgeting and resource management while maintaining quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment by facilitating communication across teams and departments through platforms like SharePoint or Content Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and standards throughout all phases of project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising project teams in a fast-paced environment with strong leadership capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall, SAFe, or Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet or similar tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, data analysis (using SAS or equivalent), and root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling costs within large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP platforms (Workday), CRM tools (Salesforce), Content Management Systems (SharePoint), or ServiceNow is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or related fields are preferred.
