Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Luxury Pattern Cutter to join our atelier team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-end fashion collections, ensuring precise pattern development that meets the aesthetic and technical standards of the brand.
Duties
- Collaborate closely with designers and sample makers to translate creative concepts into workable patterns
- Use specialised pattern-cutting techniques to create prototypes, fit samples, and final patterns
- Maintain detailed records of pattern revisions and modifications for future reference
- Participate in fittings to ensure fit, quality and finish are aligned.
- Working across many aspects of the brand from runway collections, bespoke made to order clients, custom projects etc, Bridal.
- Ensure all patterns adhere to quality standards, fit specifications, and fabric properties
- Assist in fabric selection and preparation for pattern testing and production phases
- Organise pattern pieces efficiently for cutting, sewing, and assembly processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pattern Cutter within the luxury fashion industry or similar high-end environment
- Strong sewing skills with an understanding of various fabrics, textures, and finishes
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven expertise in pattern cutting for occasionwear and eveningwear, including complex corsetry and fitted garments. Experience managing a substantial style volume while maintaining exceptional fit, quality, and attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to interpret design sketches accurately into technical patterns
